If you type a word into Google and hit the search button, a Wikipedia article will probably pop up in the first 1-10 options. Wikipedia is still the most popular online encyclopedia, and now it prepares to a bold move. A printed version of the online community-generated encyclopedia will be put out on the German market this September.
The head of publishing at Bertelsmann’s encyclopedia group says the book will be condensed to roughly 50,000 of the most popular articles, each of which will be just eight to ten lines each.
The funny thing is, it gets more and more out of date as we speak! 
According to Wikipedia, it attracts 684 million visitors annually who are reading over 10 million articles in 253 languages, comprising a combined total of over 1.74 billion words for all Wikipedias.
